Not all steel roofing is created equal. The difference lies in the metal quality and surface treatment applied. At Metal Roof Montreal, we exclusively use G90 grade galvanized steel (also called Z275), imported directly from Germany.
What does G90 mean? It's the amount of zinc applied to the steel to protect it against corrosion: 275 grams per square meter. That's more than double the G40 or G60 standards found at some competitors. This zinc layer acts as a sacrificial barrier — it corrodes instead of the steel, extending your roof's life by several decades.
In addition to galvanization, our panels receive an 8-layer PVDF paint coating applied at the factory. This finish resists UV rays, humidity, de-icing salt, and acid rain. It maintains its color and shine year after year, without peeling or fading.
